    Honorary Consul/honorary consul

    Hi all,

I wanted to kindly ask you for you help regarding captalization.

They named him the Honorary Consul/ honorary consul in 1914.

    Thanks in advance,

    Re: Honorary Consul/honorary consul

That depends on the actual title. If the actual title is "Honorary Consul", I would capitalize both. If the title is "Consul", I would only capitalize "Consul".
