Tourism industry has flourished significantly over the last few years. (not in all countries) Large numbers of people travel around the globe, which bring money and prosperity to the
visiting countrycountries visited. Some people argue that tourists create slots of pollution by throwing garbagerubbish which requiredrequires extra effort and money to cleandispose of. Thus, tourists should be charged more than the locals. However, others stateargue that they bring business to the country and should be charged nominally. I believe that foreign visitors help native peoplesthe local people in order to run theirby helping to support their businesses by using their services.
TouristsTourism plays a pivotalan important role in strengtheningsupporting the economy of the destination countrycountries. Countries such as Malaysia and Singapore mainly depend on their tourism industries. They arespend inghuge amounts of money to preserve their historical places. That will attract millions ofmore tourists to travel these countries every year. In addition to this, tourists use dlocal services such as hotels, restaurant, cloths and health facilities. This helpedhelps the local peoples to run theirbusinesses smoothlyto thrive.
However, tourists also tend to (not all tourists) bring waste and diseases
with themselvesto the countries they visit. This could severely hamharm the health of local people s. For example, the epidemic (what epidemic?) ofin Malaysia was due to a foreign visitor. Furthermore, tourists are lethargic and do not care about cleaning (unfair generalisation!), and would like tothrow garbage and other waste materials anywhere they want. This requires extra cost to clean and preserve the beauty of thenature.
In conclusion, I believe that we should welcome tourists wholeheartedly and let them enjoy their holidays economically. This would leave a positive impression
on their mindwith them and give them a reason to visit thea place again.
