    stay put

I made a sentences by using "stay put" as follow:

Many people wanted to move to european countries,
Please go back your country and convince them to stay put their own country.

If both are wrong, please correct me or give me guideline to write the correct sentences.

You don't need to repeat "their country".
"Please go back to your country and convince the others to stay put."
