    Menu in a restaurant

Hello, Iím writing this post to help one of my friends who has a restaurant.
In his menu there are three different parts: 1. Sandwiches, 2. Pizza, and 3. The part which is for the foods on a dish with some bread.
He does not know how to name the last part in his English menu.
To tell you better, if they have roast-beef sandwich which is in the first part of the menu, they have the same roast beef on the third part of the menu, but not in a sandwich, they put the roast beef on a dish with some bread beside it.
Thanks for your help to him.

Is it served with anything else, like salad, or is it just literally meat and bread?

Thank you, you the other parts, sandwiches and pizzas are entrees too. I think entree means main part (between appetizer and dessert), right?

Yes, it is served with some other things like salad, vegetables, pickles, etc.

Yes, an "entree" is a main course. However, I would not personally call a sandwich or burger an "entree." To me, it is something served on a plate to be eaten with utensils.

    See here, for example.

    Usage does vary.

    I wonder if that's a three-course menu.

At the moment, I like Dave's suggestion of "platter" as in "a mixed platter", but I'd like us to be able to find your friend the most accurate word for his menu.

Sorry to be a pain, but can you find a picture on Google of something like it and then post the link? That way we can give you the most accurate name.

Also, what is that type of meal known as in Iranian? I only ask because food is one area where English often uses words, or variations of them, from other languages.

I like "platter" also. Then we have:

    Roast beef sandwich
    Pizza
    Roast beef platter
