Student or Learner
The honor code is supposed to raise self-disciplined, well-educated and responsible children who show their respect towards rules, laws and the other type of regulations.
1) I am not entirely sure whether the bold part in my sentence is grammatically correct, especially "the other type".
2) Is it correct to say "show one's respect TOWARDS something"?
Please, correct all my mistakes. I should know English perfectly and if you show me my mistakes I will achieve my dream a little bit faster. A lot of thanks.
Not a teacher nor a native speaker.
1) I think it should be "other types of ..." (without the definite article).
2) I would use "for" instead of "towards".
