the average level of academic achievement

The introduction of the code of honour in the Russian Federation will increase the average level of academic achievement. Due to the fact that this set of rules implies an implementation of a feature of competition among students, it will encourage them to study harder so as to gain advantages concerning a search for job in the future. Thus, it will lead to the increase of the average standard of knowledge in the country that positively affects its development.

Would you mind taking a look at the sentneces above? I've decided to put the whole context because my usage of articles can be not clear.
    Did I use articles correctly?
Please, correct all my mistakes. I should know English perfectly and if you show me my mistakes I will achieve my dream a little bit faster. A lot of thanks.

Consider using "a code of honour" instead of "the code of hounour" in your text.

    Thank you so much!

I cannot understand why you don't like my usage of the word "average". What's wrong with it?

Re: the average level of academic achievement

I think 'the level of academic achievement' and 'standard of knowledge in the country' already suggest 'average', but I am not a teacher.

'The level of academic achievement' could also suggest the higher levels only. The use of the word average' makes it clear what the writer means.
