What is "till I get my twenty in"?

May I know what "till I get my twenty in" means? Is it an idiom?

    Here's the sentence:
Homer said, "Hey, I'm about making my life the best possible it could be for me
till I get my twenty in and retire."

Thanks in advance for your help!

It means twenty years in some occupation, possibly the military.
