When I tell a story about things happening in the past

    Please help me!
When I tell a story about things happening in the past. But there are some things that are the truth (according to grammar we conjugate this in present tense).
So, do I need to use present tense for these events or we need to conjugate unitedly in past tense?
    For example:
Last month, I visited Nha Trang beach. I did this. I did that. Nha Trang beach is so beautiful. People there is so friendly.
    Thanks!

In my opinion, you could use either tense. The past tense would be how you felt when you were there. The present tense would be how you feel about it now. The last sentence should have a plural verb.
