    peddling

" If my memory doesn't fail me, Polly Toynbee supported the Blairites peddling the fear of the Labour's unelectability under the Corbyn's leadership." [From the Guardian readers' forum.]

Who is peddling the fear in the above context? Is it Polly Toynbee or the Blairites?

    Thank you.

    Re: peddling

It would have been clearer if the writer had used an apostrophe (although there is a way of parsing the sentence that makes an apostrophe unnecessary - the two possible parsings are left as an exercise for the reader )
