It is said that ..., ___ ____? (tag question)

It is said that the giant used to be a handsome prince, ___ ____?

According to a Taiwanese teacher of English, the answer to the above question is didn't he.
Do native speakers of English agree?
    I need native speakers' help.

Re: It is said that ..., ___ ____? (tag question)

I don't. For me, the tag question for "It is said that ..." is "isn't it?"
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

Re: It is said that ..., ___ ____? (tag question)

    ***** NOT A TEACHER *****

I have found some extra information that I am delighted to share.

Four world-famous scholars say that "[I]f the sentence is long, the tag question is occasionally [my emphasis] inserted in the middle."

Their example: "It's true, isn't it, that you're thinking of giving up your job?"

    *****

Based on that information, maybe this dialogue is accurate.

Mona: May I ask a question of you, Ms. Smith?
    Ms. Smith: Of course, Mona.
Mona: It is said, isn't it, that the giant used to be a handsome prince?
Ms. Smith: Yes, Mona, it is (said that the giant used to be a handsome prince).

I suggested the same solution to a different question here.

That said, in a real-life utterance, it's quite possible that a native speaker might 'get it wrong'.
