    Can I use "it" in place of " this"? Can we use "it" and "this" interchangeably.

    I am not a teacher.

    You can only use 'it' if we know what 'it' is. 'This', by definition, needs no explanation.

    If you have previously mentioned the attachment and that is what can be forwarded, then 'it' is fine.
