    Deleted posts

Once again, Rover has deleted one of my posts for an arbitrary reason. I am getting tired of this. He is sometimes very quick on the trigger.

    The post was here: https://www.usingenglish.com/forum/t...98#post1191698

    Re: Deleted posts

Maybe he was primed by your two previous inappropriate posts in that thread? Note that I'm not saying that the deleted post was inappropriate, because I didn't get to read it.

    Re: Deleted posts

I think he is only trying to keep threads from becoming cluttered with unnecessary comments. I expect some of mine to start disappearing soon.

    Re: Deleted posts

What inappropriate posts? Are we no longer allowed to have opinions?

    Re: Deleted posts

Who decides what is unnecessary? I thought my post made a good point.

    Re: Deleted posts

Mike, the admins and mods and give up a fair bit of time to keep this successful forum running smoothly. We'd be lucky if everything they did was to our complete satisfaction. I can live with 99%.

As for deletions, the mods here are pretty tolerant compared with those on some forums I've tried. I would prefer them to let all of my posts through and to delete all those that don't agree with my opinions but, as I can't get that, I live with what we have.

    Re: Deleted posts

I mostly agree with that. But there are some deletions that I don't understand. Don't worry, I will get over this.

Having now read it, I think Rover was right to delete it.

You are entitled to your opinion. But not to mine.
