    How is your day going?

How is your day going? Or How is your day going on?

Which one is correct? A native speaker used second one.

Only the first one is acceptable. I have no idea why a native speaker would have said the second version.

Re: How is your day going?

The second sounds like a regional dialect of British English, possibly from the West Country. Was the person who said it British?

Yes, he is from Bristol. But it is not grammatically correct. İs it?

Re: How is your day going?

No it isn't grammatically correct. It is informal speech from the West Country, which includes Bristol, or Brizzle as he might say it.

If you get on well with him and he is either about your age or younger, you can say: "'Ow be on me sonner?", which is his dialect for "How are you, my friend?"

The dialect expert Stanley Ellis once described the Bristol dialect as "a cranky, crazy, crab-apple tree of language with the sharpest, juiciest flavour that I've heard for a long time".

It sounds more like Stanley Unwin.
