    Verb "show"

Here are a few sentences in which I have used "show". I am not sure if they sound natural, and I would like to ask you to correct my mistakes.

    1. The President has refused to comment on his decision to raise taxes, which only shows his arrogance.
    2. The President has refused to comment on his decision to raise taxes, which shows how arrogant he is. (I am wondering if this sentence sounds better than the previous one)
    3. The country has successfully organized the Olympic Games and showed the world what it is capable of.
    4. The well-known painter has donated his work to charity, which shows his generosity.

    Re: Verb "show"

Your uses of "show' are correct. I prefer your second sentence to your first.

    Re: Verb "show"

I think the first one can be improved slightly:

The President has refused to comment on his decision to raise taxes, which only goes to shows his arrogance.
