    what is the difference between cooperative and collaborative, cooperation and collaboration?

    The sentence is "the firm's owner was collaborative"
    Could you please explain the difference in general.

    That is not enough context for a definitive answer. However, 'cooperative' is the more likely choice. 'Collaborative is used normally as a pre-modifier.

    We will need full sentences and the context in order to establish which is the most appropriate word.
