Something is timeless or Something are timeless?

I heard rap from a song said, ‘Something aretimeless.’
I think it should use ‘is’ instead of ‘are.’ And I think it is not natural English. Am I right?
How should it re-write if it is not natural English?
I am fond of learning English!
