    present?

    The word "present" has a lot of meaning in dictionary.

    I make a sentence as below, can you please check it correct or not?

    "I present to you now. My name is Polyester."
    "I present you a gift. Do you like it?"

    That is completely wrong, I'm afraid. In formal diplomatic circles you may present somebody to a superior, but you never present yourself.

    "I present you a gift. Do you like it?"
    "I present you with a gift. This is both formal and old-fashioned.
