    operating company

How to call a company that has no operations, has stopped doing business altogether? Is it a non-operating company?

Are you sure that you are a native French speaking, Portuguese English teacher?

    ***** NOT A TEACHER *****

    Hello, Knowleseeker:

When I was a child in the 1950s, a little truck would come down the street every day and sell pastries to the residents of my neighborhood, and another little truck would come down the street selling ice cream.

Sadly, those companies are now long defunct.

    Re: operating company

I would say that the company has shut sown or has been closed.
