    ...mark (highlight) with color.

    Hello!

    Please, tell me which variant is more appropriate and correct:
    1) All mistakes and additions we marked with red color.
    2) All mistakes and additions we highlighted with red color.
    Is it necessary to put the preposition "with" here?
    And wouldn't it better to use the Present Perfect instead of the Past Simple here (if it's a formal letter)?

    You don't need to write 'color'. You mark it with/in red.
