    Take light view of

    Hello,

    Does it sound natural if I say "You seem to be careless but the situation is really serious. Donīt take a light view of it."?

    I think "don't view this lightly" may sound more natural.
    I think your version is readily understandable.

    It depends on the context; is it a formal conversation, or a casual chat?

    There is a similar phrase with a different meaning. "To take a dim view of something" means to disapprove of it or to not think very highly of it.
    Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
