    Article

I am assistant manger in Reliance Industries.

Why don't we use an article before "assistant manager"? Is "assistant manager a noun?

    Re: Article

If (as I suspect) you are not the only assistant manager at Reliance Industries, you should use the article "an".
“Every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud, adopts as a last resource pride in the nation to which he belongs; he is ready and happy to defend all its faults and follies tooth and nail, thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority.”

Anil, I think you know by now that a better title would have been I am (an) assistant manager.
