I will play.

I understand this is simple future tense. My doubt is if I replace "will "with "would", then still it would be simple future tense.

No, it wouldn't.

Can you please help to understand difference between following sentences and what type of sentence is the 2nd one (like 1st one is simple future tense)?

1) I will play.

2) I would play.

2) I would play.

What is your intended meaning? As a stand-alone sentence, it doesn't make much sense. It requires more context to know whether you're talking hypothetically, etc.

What would you play in America?

I would play cricket in America.

I will play cricket in America.

I want to understand what's the difference between these sentences.
Also which tense is the first one.

Is it possible to say 'I would play in a park instead of on a beach'?

Is it necessary to specify what to play in a park? I think 'to play' can mean 'to do things for pleasure' when used as an intransitive verb.

I would play in America.

I would play in America if I went there. (= I am unlikely to go to America, so I probably will not play there.)
I would play in America if they allowed me to enter. (= I am not allowed to enter the country, so cannot play there.)

On its own, your sentence doesn't mean very much.

It is not clear why you're using would. If this is similar to used to, then there would be something in the wider context to indicate this. The same would be true of a conditional. Without more context, why use would?
