    how do you cite a quote within the paper for a short story? if the story is only three pages long how would you format the quote and page/line number?

    okay, whenever a research paper is written, the person would give the direct quote and a (page number) but what if its a short story instead of a novel. there is no page number. how would you cite that quote

    To clarify, MLA, the instruction to start every sentence with a capital letter was not solely a response to the question about how to cite sources. It referred to every sentence in written English.
    Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
