Can you hear the missing part?

The following is from a video about making news. I cannot hear some of the words. That's why I have to turn to you.

"We have a news flash, _____________,a cartoon, whether or not press conference with experts, we wanna you to write an ___________ forecast for your team."

I can't understand the first part. The second part is "a cartoon, whether or not a press conference with experts, we want you to write an astrological forcast for your team". It doesn't make a great deal of sense.

I managed to catch the 'ate my hamster' part.
However, I'm not sure what he's talking about.

It sounds like, 'Rock Barnet ate my hamster'. I've no idea who that is.

So the following is what I write down after hearing the video, of course with some help from you. Are they correct?


The name of this exercise is making news. Whenever I got a new bunch of journalists in my news room, I’d like to get them in the zone, like this. You are gonna write, you are gonna edit, you are gonna draw, you are gonna interview, you are gonna photograph. The front page of your own newspaper. We then want you to take a team photo. No newspapers can survive without advertising revenue./ We have a news flash, Rock Barnet ate my hamster, a cartoon, whether or not press conference with experts, we want you to write an astrological forecast for your team. The photo scoop. You need to find the location to get the photo scoop. But the most important of all, the lead story. Any paper lives or dies by the lead story. You have just under two hours in which to complete this test.

The underlined parts are also where I am uncertain.
