    Posting past exam papers

A member wants to post some pictures of past exam papers, as outlined in Post #18 of the thread below. Is it OK for them to do so?

    Re: Posting past exam papers

Teechar, it's not homework. They are exams he has already taken. I see no problem. (I know I'm not a moderator--not yet.)

I think we need a legal expert to deal with this question.

    Re: Posting past exam papers

Posting entire papers might constitute republication, so it might be dodgy in terms of copyright. I am honestly not sure. Posting individual questions to ask questions would come under fair use, but whole papers might not- most exam boards do go on to sell past papers in book form, so they might not like papers appearing online in this way.

What about just parts of them? (He wants to know not only what is wrong but also how to do it right.)

    Re: Posting past exam papers

Posting individual questions to discuss answers should be fair use- it's natural for learners to want to ask about papers.
