    "Our efforts" or "Our Effort"

I think it is "our effort", but I am not sure.

Re: "Our efforts" or "Our Effort"

    We need context.
“Every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud, adopts as a last resource pride in the nation to which he belongs; he is ready and happy to defend all its faults and follies tooth and nail, thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority.”

Re: "Our efforts" or "Our Effort"

You are speaking in general terms. You might use "efforts" this way: "Our efforts were in vain." (You made several tries, but they didn't work.)
