    is or are

    All that matters is to be haapy.

    I don't know what is meant with this sentence. That is why I have a quwstion. Why is has been used instead of are?

    I don't know what is meant with by this sentence. That is why I have a question. Why is has "is" been used instead of "are​"?
    Here, "all" is the same as "the only thing". That's why it takes "is".

    The sentence means "The only thing that is important is that one is happy".

    Note my corrections above. Take care with your spelling.
