Most of + plural or singular verb

    Hello,

Would you be so kind to tell what verb singular or plural I am supposed to use in next sentence?

"Most research now show/shows that as much as 70% - 80% of human communication may be non-verbal."

    Denis.

Re: Most of + plural or singular verb

"Most research now shows..." Delete "of".
“Every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud, adopts as a last resource pride in the nation to which he belongs; he is ready and happy to defend all its faults and follies tooth and nail, thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority.”

I agree with Bhai. The word "most" does not change "research" from singular to plural.

Re: Most of + plural or singular verb

Just to clarify: bhaisahab is referring only to the first "of" in the original sentence.
