If i bought that book,it would be so i had something to give to you on your birthday.
If i bought that book,it would be so i have something to give to you on your birthday
Are both the above sentences grammatically correct?
Do they mean the same?

You need to use "I", not "i". "i" is not a word.
Apart from that, in my opinion the first is correct and the second is not. The second could be fixed by substituting "so I would have" for "so I have."
