    Talking sound əl

    Hi every one
in the introduction about phonetic (http://dictionary.cambridge.org/help/phonetics.html)

there is this part that i don't understand well
əl, əm, ən can be pronounced either: əl or l ̩ etc.:
    /ˈleɪb.əl/ = /ˈleɪb.əl/ or /ˈleɪb.l̩/

My question is if proounce as l so there is no sound of vowel?
    Thank you

    Re: sound əl

Sometimes, the vowel sound is so reduced that it's barely there, though it could be argued that there can be no 'l' (or 'm' or 'n') without some vowel sound- however reduced- and that's why the schwa is shown small and raised as an alternate pronunciation.
