[Grammar] didn't stop or hasn't been stopping

Hello, everybody!

1.The baby didn't stop crying all night.
2.The baby haven't been stopping crying all night.

Why is sentence N2 incorrect?
As far as I know, with " all day/night/week, ..." we use present perfect continuous, so does it mean that N2 is incorrect because "stop" is not used in continuous form?

*if there are any punctuation or other mistakes, I'll be very grateful for pointing them out.

The first one is OK, but more natural would be:

The baby cried all night.

The second one does not work. You just can't stop continuously.

Let's say you decide to call the doctor at 1:00 am; then you can say:
"The baby has been crying all night."

You could say (at 1 am): The baby hasn't stopped crying all night. (He has been doing nothing buy cry.)

In your title, you correctly used "hasn't" after "baby" but in your main post, you used "the baby haven't". Even if the rest of the sentence were correct, that part wouldn't be.
