    Don't talk too much

    Hi,

Is "Don't speak/talk too much lest you should be regretted later" correct?

Can you see why "you should be regretted" is incorrect?

In what context did you find this sentence?

If it's your own, what do you want it to mean?

You have been posting random sentences for our comments without providing any background information about them.

    Re: Don't talk too much

    You might say:

Don't talk too much. You might come to regret it later and have to take some things back.

(The sentence as written doesn't really make sense.)

That's why I asked him for some sort of explanation about why he posted it.

    Re: Don't talk too much

It should be "Don't talk too much lest you should regret later".

If my sentence is wrong. Then I'll go for "Don't talk too much. You might regret later".

I mean to say that some people talk too much. They do not think. They just keep on talking. They regret later in case they say something wrong.

Be close to my sentence, please.
