Where did you find that sentence?
“Every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud, adopts as a last resource pride in the nation to which he belongs; he is ready and happy to defend all its faults and follies tooth and nail, thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority.”

It looks like "transportable" would work. Please cite the title and author of the book.
“Every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud, adopts as a last resource pride in the nation to which he belongs; he is ready and happy to defend all its faults and follies tooth and nail, thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority.”

    Hi!
The book title is:"Mobile Pedagogy and Perspectives on Teaching and Learning"

It is a collection of papers. The above passage was from the eight chapter called "Does Mobile Technology Have a Place in Differentiated Instruction?"
Its writer is "Therese M. Cumming".
    Thanks very much.
