    formal e-mail

    I am preparing ang e-mail:

"I would like to inform that a new name of the company has not yet been entered into the Register. I will monitor the progress in this matter."

Is it correct? How to describe it in proper, better way? I will monitor ? Maybe is better to use I will look for ?

Do you have any links for samples for formal e-mails?

    Many Thanks,
    Anna

    Welcome to the forum.

Note my changes above in red.

Don't put a space before a question mark. We don't construct a question by starting "How to ...".

In my opinion, "I will monitor the progress" is OK. "I will look for" does not work. If the register you're talking about is formally called "The Register", then both words should be capitalised If it's not, then don't capitalise either word.

I wouldn't use a hyphen in "email" but some people still do so it's not wrong.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    I still hyphenate "e-mail". Habit.
