    Prepositions

    Hi.
Is there a list of English prepositions and how to use them some where?
I am not being able to tell when I should use lots of them for example I used to say: The ship is in the see, and this seems to be wrong and I must say on instead of in.

Is there a rule for the prepositions?

Note my corrections above, marked in red.

The use of prepositions is a very difficult aspect of the English language. As you read/listen to more and more English, you will start to recognise certain uses which might not otherwise be easy to work out.

"This ship sails on the sea" is correct.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
