    Post How correctly?.....with explanation!

I would be grateful if you would tell me whether I should use "stomachache" or "stomach ache".
    I have a stomachache. I feel awful.

    How correctly?.....with explanation!

Some of us would be more willing to respond if you presented a request rather than a demand.

    Re: How correctly?.....with explanation!

    1. "How correctly?" is not a grammatical way to ask a question.
    2. ".... with explanation!" is not a complete sentence.
    3. "stomachache or stomach ache" is not a complete sentence.

Please write in full sentences in this forum. Your thread title should include all or some of the words/phrases being queried. A good titlefor this thread would have been "stomachache or stomach ache". The body of your post should read something like:

I would be grateful if you would tell me whether I should use "stomachache" or "stomach ache".

It is important to follow these rules of written English at all times:

    - Start every sentence with a capital letter.
    - End every sentence with a single, appropriate punctuation mark.
    - Always capitalise the word "I" (first person singular).
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    Re: How correctly?.....with explanation!

Both forms are possible. Ngrams suggest that stomach ache is more common in BrE, stomachache in AmE.

    Re: How correctly?.....with explanation!

Thread closed. OP has started a new thread with the same question but written better from post #1.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
