To Go On Horse v.s To Go On A Horse

    I always go on horse.
-Is this sentence correct? I think it should be "to go on A horse" or "to go by horse", because we all know the phrases of "to go on A bus and to go by bus".

Re: To Go On Horse v.s To Go On A Horse

    Welcome to the forum.

Neither phrase is natural. We might say

'I used to go to work on horseback.'
'He rode a horse in the Grand National.'
'She likes to go horse-riding in her spare time.'

Re: To Go On Horse v.s To Go On A Horse

In AmE I'd say "She likes to go horseback riding in her spare time."
