    The use of 'so'

    Hello again.

I've noticed that people use 'so' in the phrase "I love you so."

Does 'so' act as an adverb in the example above or is it just improper?

If so, I would like to know if it works in this sentence: "I won't let my feelings be held back so."

    Re: The use of 'so'

'So' is properly used as an adverb in both sentences.

In #1 it means 'a lot' and in #2 'in this manner'.
