Next match is played on Sunday.

    Dear teachers.

As far as I know I can use present simple for the future - especially for something scheduled.

However would the following sentences be correct as well? (with the future meaning)

    - Next match is played on Sunday.

    - The first match is played tomorrow.

    - The box is delivered tomorrow.

Thank you very much for your help.

    Dominik

Re: Next match is played on Sunday.

    - The next match is on Sunday.

    - The first match is tomorrow.

    - The (box) delivery is tomorrow.

Thank you for giving me other opportunities to say this.

Could tell me whether my sentenced are utter nonsense?

    They are unnatural.

Re: Next match is played on Sunday.

While not strictly correct, all three of your sentences would be understood.

I think there are more natural ways of saying these two, but they are grammatically sound.
