    Academic title of somebody

    Greetings everyone,

this is my first topic so be as critical as possible))

I am having a problem of writing an academic title of my lecturer.
He has an Msc in mathematics but taught the subject of electoral engineering.
I am applying for an MA program and If I write that this person has a degree no higher than Master`s, than I am afraid the
application review committee shall not perceive me as a strong candidate whatsoever )))

Should l I mention James Bond Msc, Professor James Bond or Just Mr. James Bond?

    Cheers

I have moved your thread to the Ask a Teacher forum, which is visited by more members.

There's a lot for us to think about, and we do care about newbies' posts.

    Re: Academic title of somebody

Your lecturer is James Bond MSc. You cannot change that. If s/he has an official title, then add that - James Bond MSc, Senior Lecturer in Electoral Engineering. Do not try to pretend that your lecturer is anything other than what s/he is.

ps. This is a forum in which volunteers give up their free time to help others. Making snide remarks about our not caring about newbies' posts will not encourage members to respond to your questions.

    Re: Academic title of somebody

That is how my statement starts:

The lectures of James Bond Msc., the living legend of elections and electoral systems, have inspired me to write my
master`s thesis in "How to Die Another Day".

(I am planning to earn second MA degree)

Thank you for your assistance; This forum apparently has a different
culture than that of automobile forums
