    rubber stamp

    Hello.

I think it's diffcult to exaplin but I'll try . Assuming I'm taking an exam at my university but my teacher decides not to examine me because I worked hard during the semester . I mean he gives me "an automatic mark". Can I use the word "rubber stamp" here?

    For instance:
"When he rubber stamped me an A, I couldn't be happier!"
Please, correct all my mistakes. I should know English perfectly and if you show me my mistakes I will achieve my dream a little bit faster. A lot of thanks.

Not a teacher nor a native speaker.

    Re: rubber stamp

That wouldn't be understood in AusE.
"I did well during the semester, so I didn't have to sit the exam. My teacher rubber-stamped me an A." That contains enough information to make it at least understandable.

    Re: rubber stamp

I prefer the simpler "gave me an A".
