    Funny you should ask

A: How is the big city treating you?
B: Funny you should ask. Not great!

what does the second person mean by "funny you should ask"? does it mean I'm happy that you asked me the question...I wanted to talk about it...?

Yes. "Funny" in this context is like "What a coincidence!" It means that person B was hoping that person A would ask the question and, sure enough, they asked the question.

Remember to start every sentence with a capital letter.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
