Please do not leave behind any books or belongings if you will not return to your seat within 30 minutes. (a message pasted on each desk in the library of National Taiwan University)
An “if” or “when” clause generally does not contain “will”.... Is the sentence in bold acceptable?

I need native speakers' help.
The sentence is OK but I would prefer to see "... if you don't plan to return to your seat ..." or "... if you won't be returning to your seat ...".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
