    Exclamation phrases...

I would like to know what these phrases mean:

    1) 'marriage is the waste-paper of the emotions'

    2) 'Children begin by loving their parents. After some time they judge them. Rarerly,if ever, do they forgive them.

    3) 'happiness in marriage is entirely a matter of chance'

    THANK YOU!!!

    Re: phrases...

1 If marriage is the waste paper, then it suggests that it is useless to the emotions
2 Small children love their parent, but adolescents often feel anger and judge them harshly
3 It means what it says- if your marriage is a happy one, it's because you are lucky
