    Place age thing to be

"What is the best age or place or thing to be"?

    Is this correct?

What would be the past form?

    Your question is not clear.
ďEvery miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud, adopts as a last resource pride in the nation to which he belongs; he is ready and happy to defend all its faults and follies tooth and nail, thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority.Ē

Re: Place age thing to be

The past tense would be "What was the best age or place or thing to be?"

Re: Place age thing to be

It's a very odd question in any tense.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

It's hard to say as the present tense version is incomprehensible.

Re: Place age thing to be

I think the OP means 'to do (something)' instead of 'to be'.

It doesn't make much more sense with that change to me.

Re: Place age thing to be

    Do the following make sense?

'What is the best age to have a baby?'
'What is the best place to live?'
'What is the best thing to do now?'
    I am not a teacher.

Let's wait for tufguy to clarify what he means.
