    Please explain the usage of except and except for.

    Hello guy!

    we use "except" before a verb while "except for" is place before a noun(noun phrase,gerund...)
    we will stay home and watch TV except do homework.
    I like all people in this class except for one person.(who?I don't know )

    is it clear enough?hope it helps.
