    Question Punctuation

    Hi
I wonder whether we must put a comma after the year in the following sentence or not:
June 2, 2005, was the year we first met.
    My best regards

    Re: Punctuation

"June 2, 2005" is not a year. It's a date. "2005" on its own is the year.

2005 was the year we first met.
June 2nd, 2005 was the date we first met.

    I wouldn't put a comma after 2005.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    Re: Punctuation

Many people require a comma after the calendar date in an address in a sentence.
