    Weird post

I note that the poster of the thread below is marked as "Guest", and they don't appear to have a viewable profile:

    Is this a software glitch?

    Re: Weird post

    THIS thread should explain it.

When an account is deleted, all personal information is removed, though the only information we collect is the alleged date of birth - to comply with COPPA, a US law - and the email, which can be anonymous. However, these are removed completely from the system- if you have a dormant account and try to sign up a second time using the old email address, you will not be allowed to do so, but if the account has been deleted, we have no record of that email. It removes the profile, but leaves posts and sets them to guest like that.

There is a glitch with that one. It's waiting in moderation but none of the mods can approve it. It seems to be stuck!

    Re: Weird post

It has been fixed- someone weird had happened and it had been saved as a post rather than a thread, but it's up now.

I'm sure Tdol meant to write "something" instead of "someone."

    Re: Weird post

Dunno. If someone said "someone weird" I may resemble that remark. But I didn't do anything with the thread.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
