    Wag ones beard

    Hi,

I have come across a phrase wag ones beard (he wagged his beard) several times before but, for the life of me, I still cannot imagine what it technically means. Can anybody help me?

    Thanks a lot.

    Re: Wag ones beard

It was a humorous way to describe talking; a bearded man's beard wags up and down with the movement of his jaw.
