    raised by 45 pennies.

The paper circulation wouldn't have fallen if the price hadn't been raised by 45 pennies.

Does the preposition "by" actually work in the sentence? Is it correct to say "the paper circualtion". I mean, is it clear what I'm talking about?
Please, correct all my mistakes. I should know English perfectly and if you show me my mistakes I will achieve my dream a little bit faster. A lot of thanks.

The preposition "by" is correct and natural in that sentence.
Use "pennies" if you want to be sarcastic.

If writing for an AmE audience, you'd want to use 'cents' in place of 'pence'.
